    We will have our Turkish breakfast in Karakoy which includes Turkish menemen, pastry, kaymak, and honey.

  • Istiklal Caddesi, Istanbul, Turkey
    Following breakfast, we will catch a funicular up to Pera and walk along the famous Istiklal street and give a break for a cup of tea/Turkish coffee.

  • Kadikoy Carsisi, Istanbul, Turkey
    In the afternoon we will catch a ferry from the European side of Istanbul to the Asian side to Kadikoy (Kalkedon ancient name that means the city of the blind). We will wander around the Kadikoy fish market where you can sample pickles. Turkish people love their pickles and we will visit a shop that only sells pickles. We will also stop at one of the most popular restaurants in Istanbul where you can sample the original tastes of Turkey, a food lover's paradise serving home cook style regional cuisines and mezes/appetizers.

    A Turkish food tour would not be complete without sampling Turkish coffee and desserts. So after indulging, we will then catch a ferry back to the European side of Istanbul where the tour will conclude. And of course, there are our delicious secret dishes, too.

Our guide was Derya. She was knowledgeable and friendly. She selected just the right selection of foods and spots for casual drinks, tea, local food for us and patiently answered our questions of where to visit, where to buy stuff etc. Time just flew with her. It was as if we were visiting old friend first time on Istanbul. Her hospitality was fantastic. I would recommend anyone new to Istanbul to book the tour as it’s great way to start off your visit.

Our guide Derya was just amazing!!! It felt like we were exploring the local joints with a friend. She went above and beyond by taking us to places we wanted to see. She never rushed us from one place to another. She even planned our renaming stay for Istanbul. We came back to our hotel so satisfied. Our trip wouldn’t have been so enjoyable if he hadn’t met her!!
