This full day Domata Agios Pavlos boat trip offers you unique views and access to some of the most secluded and remote beaches along southwest Crete. Most of the places you visit during the day have no road access and are only accessible by boat or on foot! Starting in Chora Sfakion (or Loutro), we set off for the furthest beaches of the day, Domata, Fournoti and Kalogeros. The distant view of Crete from the boat enables us to take in the island´s majestic high peaks and imposing gorges that plummet into the deep blue sea. With a 99% chance of there being nobody else on the beach, we enjoy an undisturbed swim. From then on, we travel back along the coastline stopping at any remote beach we fancy! We visit the Byzantine chapel of Agios Pavlos on its deserted beach and stop for lunch at the marble beach of Marmara or at the picturesque fishing village of Loutro. Finally we have a last swim at the refreshing Sweet Water (Glyka Nera) beach before returning to Sfakia.

  • Agia Roumeli, Agia Roumeli, Greece
    The village has several hotels and a few rooms for rent and also some tavernas. Agia Roumeli has a large beach and a ferry slipway where the ferry to and from Hora Sfakion via Loutro, arrives, mainly used by walkers who have completed the Samaria walk. The village is not accessible by road.

    Marmara beach is located in a small bay at the exit of the gorge of Aradena. Its remoteness, spectacular surroundings, clear water and sea caves nearby have attracted people to it for many years. Usually we make a stop for lunch since the taverna is one of the mast try in Sfakia ! After lunch we might swim also at the amazing caves that are next to the beach

    Loutro, the hidden Paradise on the south #chania, the little village is built right “on the sea”, and the most exciting, you could get there only by boat The village was a famous trading port from the ancient times, as Cristoforo Buondelmonti has mentioned on his book ‘Descriptio Insule Crete’ in 1415 while he was exploring Crete he has seen many ancient finds. “Many where used still as building material for the existing house”!

    ''Glika nera'' Sweat Water Beach, is our next stop that we will relax and take off the most of salt that we have on our bodies, since there are many underwater springs that makes the water cooller than the previous ones !

Perfect experience of boat rental ! The boat was easy to drive, the sea and spots were beautiful. Clear presentation of the basics and very kind people.. Furthermore, we saw fishes and turtles!

We hebben een boot (rib 150pk) gehuurd met schipper vanaf Sfakia. Michalis is een vriendelijke jongen die met ons de zuidkant van het eiland liet ontdekken. Daarnaast zagen we toevallig 2 kleine walvissen, waar we naar toe gevaren zijn. Het leken eerste dolfijnen, maar dichterbij waren ze daarvoor te groot. Met respect voor deze creaturen hebben we na enkele minuten besloten om weer weg te varen. Kortom hoe gaaf wil je het hebben.
