Private tour to visit in detail the principal sites of interest located in the old city of Cartagena. This excellent experience begins by visiting the main monuments of the city like the La Popa's Hill. The highest point of the city where there is a convent dating the beginning of the XVII Century. after we visit San Felipe de Barajas Fortress which is considered the most important military fortification in South America. Then the tour heads to the walled city and the bohemian neighborhood Getsemaní. first a stop for shopping in the last build fortification named "Las Bovedas" , after we take a walking tour, visiting the different squares of the city (St Domingo Square, Bolivar Square, Los Coches Square, Aduana Square, Clock Tower, St Pedro Square) and admiring the old colonial houses filled with history and legend. At the end we take a tour by the modern part of Cartagena (Bocagrande, Laguito and Castillogrande).

I am so glad I booked this private tour of beautiful Cartagena! The guide, Andres and the driver, Jorge, were fantastic! Andres has been a tour guide for over 40 years, his knowledge and love for his native town are endless. Plus, he speaks excellent English! We went to all major sights in only 4 hours, and I never felt rushed. Took hundreds of photos, and Andres suggested the best places to take photos of me. At the end of the tour we stopped at Caribe Emeralds factory to see how the stone is made into beautiful pieces. The factory has a lovely museum and a tour guide. There was no pressure to buy anything, so I am happy that Andres suggested that we make a brief stop at this factory. Thank you, Andres and Jorge, for an unforgettable experience!

Love our tour leader Julio, knowledge in history, architecture, cultural and with a kind warm heart. We visit main highlights of the city got a sense of culture vibrant city. Our driver also was very attentive to our comfort and ready to give us much need it cool water, full air conditioning and dropping and picking us up on convenient points. Would highly recommend for families
