Learn about the role of the mosque in the daily life of locals and the history behind its construction. your guide will give you an introduction to the city, sharing insights into Amman’s history and modern-day life. Close to this mosque are two famous souqs: Souq Bukharia (good for getting souvenirs) and Souq Al-Sukar (fruit, vegetables, nuts and spices.)

    The Balad is the oldest section of the city which is made up of a myriad of markets. The area's long history leaves a large number of historical sites, such as the Amman Citadel, the Roman Theatre ( we advise our guests to visit Amman citadel and the theater before or after the tour ), and the Roman Nymphaeum which we will pass by during the tour. Stop at a traditional Jordanian bakery for a quick snack. So I booked this tour with no expectations, just thought to walk around the city. Orwa was my guide and he is super knowledgeable. He showed me everywhere in the town and he knows this town inside out. Fun side story - I still had about 1.5 hrs after our tour ended until the next tour. He waited and chatted with me until I need to catch the next tour. That’s very sweet of him!!!

Orwah was the best walking tour guide. He showed us all the areas of Amman, the Food market, gold market, business areas etc. he let us try some of the fruits, different types of olives, he knows where to get the best lamb shawarma ( from an old place ) very delicious. He enlightened us with his knowledge of the culture, historical places, tips for our stay and how to get around Petra. The tour was supposed to last 2 hrs but lasted over 3 hrs, very worth it. he went out of his way to make sure that we see everything and try everything( he paid for a delicious dessert so that we can taste it). At the end he made sure that the taxi driver would not overcharge us and texted so we can have his number if any questions arises.
