Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen & Mürren Private Day Trip from Zurich

Our private tour of the Jungfrau region was an unforgettable experience! From start to finish, the seamless door-to-door service—being picked up at our Lucerne hotel and dropped off in Bern—made the day completely stress-free. The journey began in the breathtaking Lauterbrunnen Valley, where we marveled at its iconic waterfalls and natural beauty. Next, we ascended to Mürren and rode the world’s steepest cable car—a thrilling highlight! Gimmelwald and Stechelberg offered charming Swiss alpine scenery, and we enjoyed a delightful picnic lunch with Raclette made from cheese our guide brought from his farm, adding a truly personal touch. The tour continued with a scenic walk through Interlaken and concluded at Spiez Castle on Lake Thun. The views of the Alpine lake from the castle were absolutely stunning and perfect for photos. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, enhancing every moment of the tour. This was the perfect way to explore the Jungfrau region’s beauty and charm. Highly recommended!

Manuel was a fabulous tour guide! He picked us up with a smile and was pleasant the entire day. Going with the private guide is your best option in Switzerland because you can go at your own pace and see what you want away from the crowds. Highlights of the trip for us: walking into a small church where the organist happened to be performing, the picnic by the lake where Manuel prepared Raclette for us (yum yum yum) and the gondola rides up to the hidden village of Murren. Finally, he was a premier photographer and got us the best pictures in front of the Swiss Alps.

Nicole was our guide for this tour. When she came to pick us up for our tour, it was raining and cold. We discussed whether there were other options we could do on the tour since some of the outdoor activities would be less than ideal. She was very open to making changes to the itinerary. She took us to the Italian Alps area instead. On the way there, we stopped to have a snack by a waterfull and then went to visit a castle. When we arrived at the Italian Alps, the weather was sunny and warm. We had an amazing time walking around the area and a lovely lunch at a restaurant with wonderful views of the water. She took us via an overpass on our way back to the hotel. It was snowing when we took the overpass, and the scenery was beautiful - we enjoyed having three different climates in one day! Nicole was an engaging and fun guide, and I highly recommend requesting her for this tour!
