Koh Ker Temple, Cambodia We drive around 2 and half hours to get to Koh Ker, along the way we can see many types of local plantations such as tapiocas, mangos, pepper, bananas...etc.
Koh Ker is an old ancient Khmer Capital city from 921 - 944 by King Jayavarman IV from 921-942 and his son Harshavarman II role from 942-944. Koh Ker is known as the Cambodian Pyramid temple, 36 meters high and on top, there is an impressive shrine with two meters high Lingas. Our guide will explain more about these temples while the tour is there. You could get to the top of the temple to get a nice view with amazing fresh air. In May 2019, Panha showed us all the distant temples and Angkor Wat in a single day. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and detailed. His English skills were solid and he showed the entire area within a reasonable time frame. Our tour also included the morning sunrise at Angkor Wat. I would highly recommend Panha to anyone who is interested to see the area.

We liked this tour more than Angkor Wat as it wasn't as crowded. Our tour guide Panha was very informative and had a lot of really good information to share with us. After visiting the diffeent temples he offered to take us on the river tour that led us to the lake where locals live. The tour came with lunch which was delicious and Panha had cool towels and lots of water to keep us cold and hydrated. He was always willing to take pictures for us as well. After completing the tour Panha offered to take us to another temple called Preah Vihear which is on the border of Thailand and Cambodia. This was a very isolated temple that was worth the drive to visit.
