My husband and I took this tour on our honeymoon when we were in Porto! It was the perfect day trip from the city. We splurged on the private tour and thought it was worth it to get a more tailored experience and to cut down on wait times, etc that can happen in a group tour. Our guide Pedro made the day extra special. He was knowledgeable about the area and gave us a lot of background information during our drive. He also made sure that our experience was seamless by timing the stops perfectly, arranging a special table with a nice view for lunch, and adjusting the schedule when our wine tasting went long. Overall we had a wonderful time and would recommend the Douro tour to anyone that wants to learn more about the wine of the region and get a look at the beautiful scenery!

This experience was amazing, we went in December and had the whole valley to ourselves. Our guide was knowledgeable and the wines we tasted were phenomenal.

Nuno was a great tour guide. He was easy to spend the day with - he was patient, kind and attentive to our needs. His knowledge of the area was incredible - and he told us stories from history that were entertaining and engaging. All in all - if you’re lucky enough to have Nuno as your guide - well, you are lucky!
