My husband and I spent 8 days in Portugal in early April 2025. The highlight of our trip was the private Douro Valley Wine Tour with Joao! We enjoyed two very intimate wineries speaking directly to the vinters. Lovely wines, olive oil and delicious snacks. Then off to a fabulous lunch with authentic local cuisine and more lovely wines. Final stop was a larger winery and it was great to see the contrast to the smaller wineries. Joao is personable, professional and has extensive knowlege about the Valley and its people and products.
