We spent two weeks touring the Christmas Markets along the Danube. The most memorable days, by far, were the two days we spent with Kata in Budapest. These days felt like exploring the city with a close friend. We saw fabulous places we would never have discovered on our own and enjoyed an abundance of really great food. Katas’ knowledge of Budapest and it’s history and culture were extremely impressive. We all felt we now have a much deeper appreciation for these people and their country. This was, by far, the best tour we have ever taken. When we are able to visit other cities where they offer tours we will certainly sign up with Insight City Tours.

Kata provided a warm welcome, as she shared a brief overview of the tour and we were off! We so appreciated her historic knowledge of Budapest and her deep understanding of the communities, past and present. She also shared so much about the architecture of the buildings on both sides of the Danube, which added a great deal of historic interest as well.
One of our favorite parts of the tour was her focus to help us recognize the impact of history of Budapest on Europe as a whole. Kata was also very generous with volunteering to take photos at many historic locations all over the community.
Thank you so much for a wonderful, informative and interesting tour of Budapest. We will be back!
