Blow your mind in Getaria where Juan Sebastian de Elcano, the first man who went around the world was born, where Txakoli mostly is produced and where the Balenciaga Museum is located. Finally visit Zumaia, the town chosen by many film makers to record sitcoms like the last season of Game of Thrones or "Spanish Affair", a very famous Spanish movie. A private tour is the most convenient, efficient way to visit these costal towns. Public transit would be tedious, inefficient, and barely feasible. We had a comfortable tour led by Javier. He was an excellent guide, adapting his informative commentary to our particular interests. He was warm and friendly with excellent language skills. He was very attentive to our comfort throughout, particularly appreciated by us, an older couple. We saw lovely vistas, toured medieval streets and buildings, and learned about the unique history of each town, both ancient and modern. We hope to book another tour with Javier and Local Expert Tours soon.

Our tour guide, Iñigo, was extremely knowledgeable about her country, restaurants, and people. He entertained us with stories, pointed out little-known landmarks, and made sure we didn’t run out of wine or food to try! He was very cool with my kids all the day and he even gave us tips on restaurants in other cities in the general area.

Une très sympathique journée avec notre guide qui s’est pliée en 4 pour nos faire visiter les village de la côte de Guipuzcoa. Elle est venue nous chercher à notre hôtel le matin en voiture puis nous nous sommes baladés avec elle en voiture. Plusieurs arrêts dans différents villages tout le long de la journée jusqu’en fin d’après midi. Nous avons mangé avec elle le midi dans un joli restaurant. Puisque nous aimons les saveurs locales elle nous a fait visiter un marché et plusieurs boutique pour faire nos achats. Le fait qu’elle soit bilingue français espagnol nous a beaucoup aidé pour qu’elle traduise pour nous ce que les vendeurs nous vendaient. En bref merci Emilie !
