We are so grateful to Diogo, his brother & his father for the excellent tours and taxi service they provided us during our time in Madeira. Very warm, friendly, and accommodating. We chose Diogo for his remarkable perfect score on reviews. Initially we booked a half day but planned to adjust the trip once we started. Diogo was true to his perfect rating. We removed the touristy sites and added a walk along a Levada and Pico do Areeiro to be above the clouds. Diogo cares greatly about Madeira, and provides great information about any subject you can ask as a question. He is an excellent driver. There was always a feeling of safety with his conduct. His English was very good. After the trip Diogo suggested a great restaurant for a late lunch. We wish we had gone there for a more substantial meal at Adegar do Pomar. His Van is a Mercedes in very good condition. Don’t think too long on your choice. Go with Diogo and you are guaranteed a memorable day where you learn a lot about Madeira and its people. Invest in a private tour and support the local people.
