Visit Cabo Girão, one of the highest sea cliffs of Europe, Boca da Corrida about 1200 meters high where you have a view to the "Nun's Valley" and the highest Madeira peaks, passing at Estreito de Camara de Lobos near the vineyard terraces and then Camara de Lobos, known by Mr. Winston Churchill painting. To get to some of this places, will take some narrow roads, and off road tracks. Our hotel gave us a leaflet upon arrival for Green Devil Tours and we decided to book a private half day trip for my wife and 12 year old son. We were picked up at our hotel in the standard open top Land Rover Discovery. Unsure where best to visit on the Island, we asked our driver, Bruno, to advise and left it up to him. Straight away, relevant points of interest were shown and spoken about. It was clear our Madeiran driver knew his stuff and without him the experience would not have been the same. Our first visit was to the beautiful Cabo Girao, a stunning view perched on a glass viewing platform 580m above sea level. Everywhere we went the smell of eucalyptus filled the air due to the vast amount of trees on the Island. Our next stop was the National park where the Discovery came into it's own off road. The constant climb to the peak, Pico Do Arieiro, was distracted due to the scenery, absolutely stunning. Arriving at the top we had time to walk about and discover and see the clouds moving around us. Madeira is such a beautiful place. The journey down was just as good as Bruno took a slightly different route and showed us numerous places of beauty and historic importance. We ended the tour just out of Funchal at the statue of Christ looking towards Funchal. A fantastic half day tour, well worth the money. A big thumbs up to Bruno.

Fabulous tour of the mountains and Nuns Valley with Lino who was extremely knowledgeable and a really great guy!!!! Shame about the rain though. Would definitely recommend !!!!!

Equipe Green Devil tres pro même si les 4*4 semblent un peu hors d'âge. Prise a hôtel a l'heure et globalement circuit de une demie journée est le bon format avec des enfants (-9 ans) Seul bémol : sur 2 circuits réalisé, seul 1 des 2 était réellement en Français. dommage mais sinon tout est OK JL - séjour du 13 au 21 juillet 2023
