We are a French Guide service provider.   • Constitution Hill Human Rights Precinct, Johannesburg, South Africa
    There is perhaps no other site of incarceration in South Africa that imprisoned the sheer number of world-renowned men and women as those held within the walls of Constitution Hill’s Old Fort, Women's Jail and Number. Nelson Mandela. Mahatma Gandhi. Joe Slovo. Albertina Sisulu. Winnie Madikizela-Mandela. Fatima Meer. They all served time here, but the precinct also confined tens of thousands of ordinary people during its 100-year history. They were men and women of all races, creeds, ages and political agendas; children too, the everyman and the elite. In this way, the history of every South African lives here. Constitution Hill is a living museum that tells the story of South Africa’s journey to democracy. The site is a former prison and military fort that bears testament to South Africa’s turbulent past and, today, is home to the country’s Constitutional Court, which endorses the rights of all citizens.

    The Apartheid Museum, the first of its kind, illustrates the rise and fall of apartheid. Une journée de visite très agréable grâce à notre guide Nathan qui nous a permis de mieux appréhender la région de Johannesburg et d’avoir un regard plus profond sur la réalité de l’histoire récente de l’Afrique du Sud. Je recommande fortement cette excursion à tous les touristes francophones.

Thanks to Yu Kiwa, very professional and balanced licenced tour guide, (and I know what I am speaking about, beeing a tour guide myself : ) I experienced my best birthday ever, in Soweto ! It was just great !! Especially, discovering the orphenage Little Rose Center, a Sun ray in the middle of slums and misery. An unforgettable moving moment. I warmly recommand him. Don't hesitate. Go for him. You will enjoy for sure at least as I did.
