    For this customized private tour of the island of Nusa Penida we will pick you up at your villa/hotel early in the morning – around 6:00am depending on where you are staying (Seminyak/Canggu, Ubud, Nusa Dua, ) - and our driver will take you to Sanur in your private airconditioned vehicle. You will board the 7.30 am speedboat to Nusa Penida – about a 60 min trip (departure times can change depending on the season and availability)

The trip delivered mantas as promised and some lovely snorkelling. It was all a bit crowded and frantic as everyone crammed into the same sites. Rubbish in Manta Bay was upsetting but the providers still gave out small plastic bottles of water.

This really was the perfect Nusa Penida trip, especially given how last minute we booked it. Literally the night before we went we texted Gutsi, Adi picked us up from Ubud at 0630 and we were on our way! Because it was a private boat on Penida, we got to Manta Bay ahead of the crowds, and got to be the snorkelers who found the Rays on our own, before the hordes descended. The coral we saw was the most beautiful and alive of all the locations we went in Bali, and we even managed to spot 2 turtles as well! The lunch spot was iconic and had delicious food included, and Oka was a funny, informative and friendly guide, clearly excited to show off the beauty of his home island. Cannot recommend it enough, and don't understand why anyone would go on a group tour when this is an option!
