Explore London’s awe-inspiring Victoria and Albert Museum on a private tour of the museum’s 13 acres, with 145 galleries that house over 4.5 million objects of art, sculpture, jewellery, costume, and paintings from all over the world and spanning some 5000 years. Learn all about the man behind it all, Prince Albert, beloved husband of Queen Victoria. See eclectic works by Michelangelo, Raphael, Bernini - and Alexander McQueen! Then, enjoy a stroll through the exclusive royal borough of Kensington, ending with a walk around the pristine gardens of Kensington Palace on the edge of Hyde Park. Learn about the lovely area of Kensington - how it transformed from a rough and ready area of criminality to the exclusive neighbourhood it is today: home of bankers and royalty. Pay tribute to the late Diana, Princess of Wales, in the sunken garden in Hyde Park, which houses her new bronze statue, unveiled by her sons Princes William and Harry.

If you are even the slightest interested in design, visual arts or related areas, do not miss the V&A. We had to return for a second trip later in our London week as the beauty and intricacies of the objects compelled further examination. Lots of recent technological history on display as well. Very well done.
