Experience a unique tour combining a Day Trip to the Archaeological Site with a Hiking, Biking, or Olive Oil Experience at Ancient Delphi. Located in wide terraces along the slopes of Mt. Parnassos. Any visit to Delphi is a wonderful experience but will not connect you to the local environment in the way that our tour will do. The majority of Ancient sites in Greece were placed in areas of outstanding natural beauty, rich in Nature, and Delphi is certainly one of these. The beautiful physical geography of this area with its deep valley and rising mountains, its forested slopes and many of its local cultivation practices remain unchanged, and the activity trails chosen by us are also in many cases the same ones trodden by the inhabitants of the area millennia before.     DELPHI ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE Inset on wide terraces along the hillside we are fortunate that the landslides of previous centuries preserved much of the ancient remains for us, including the Castilian spring of Mythology, Ancient theater, treasury buildings, temples of Athena and Gymnasium where athletes gathered before the Pythian games to bathe in the sacred waters. During your visit to Delphi, you can still see the physical structures associated with this incredibly long history including the 4th century BC temple of Apollo, the epicenter of the mystical ceremony from where the Oracle spoke her prophecies.

Outstanding pieces include the Naxos Sphynx, the twin Kouroi, and famous Bronze Charioteer among others.

    HIKING OR BIKING ACTIVITY. We follow a downhill path and a rural road from Delphi to the edge of Chrisso village. The ancient city of Crissa hosted the visitors of the oracle and following the footsteps of ancient pilgrims, we continue our tour in the heart of the famous Crisaean olive grove. We will enjoy the unique scenery, οbserve the silver-green foliage of the olive trees changing colors depending on the time of the day and admire the naturally carved trunks of impressive centennial trees. We will savor a delicious olive snack in the shade of an old chapel and learn how olives are cultivated and why the olive tree is a worldwide symbol of immortality, wisdom and abundance.

It was a fantastic experience! A must-take trip to Delphi with a delicious olive oil tasting. Our guide Yannis was extremely friendly with a great knowledge of History and Greek Mythology. Strongly recommend!
