The tour was great. Jamie is a great guide, that took us some nice places I wouldn’t have visited on my own and introduced us to a very nice haggis . Have saved the places for next time I am visiting Edinburgh

Wir haben uns sehr auf diese Tour mit Skye gefreut und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Skye ist ein wirklicher Food Enthusiast, was man an seiner Begeisterung für gut zubereitetes Essen merkt. Er hat uns neben den Stops auch viele weitere gute Essensmöglichkeiten hingewiesen und uns ausdrücklich vier den „Mikrowaves“ Läden gewarnt. Der Spaziergang zwischen den Stopps war absolut notwendig, denn wir waren Pappsatt. Besonders gut fanden wir, dass auf Allergien besonders eingegangen wird und Skye bereits vor der Tour abgefragt hat, wer worauf reagiert und entsprechend auch immer ein alternatives Gericht parat hatte. Generell scheinen die Schotte hier in Edinburgh besonders Allergiefreundlich zu sein. Skye sagte uns, dass es zur Ausbildung in der Gastronomie gehört, dass man sich eine Woche mit sämtlichen Allergien auseinandersetzen muss. Also eine absolute Empfehlung die Tour mit Skye!!!

We were very excited to do this tour on our trip to Edinburgh. We usually try to do a food and bike tour in every city we visit. The Monday before our Thursday food tour we both started getting sick. I was worried it was covid but new we couldn’t test for two days (we only brought two tests). We knew we could struggle through other outdoor tours with masks but didn’t want to risk a food tour where we would need to take our masks off and go inside. I wrote to cancel the tour, only to find out about their zero refund policy. Absolutely no refund for any reason at any time (even if it was 2 minutes after making the reservation). Viator was a complete nightmare to deal with and refused help, only giving me a phone number to appeal after 3.5 days of asking. To this day, I still haven’t received a response from them. Secret food tours also initially rejected my request until I could prove (through screen shots) that I had started the request three days prior. Viators system rerouting to a new “customer service” agent every 15 minutes on whats app was the most furious part of this disaster. Re hashing my story over and over while ill is something I will never forget or forgive. Worst tour experience of my life, after 20 years of traveling.
