We really enjoyed our experience! The package includes a lot so we appreciated the value we got for our money. Eman was our amazing guide and who I highly recommend. She gave detailed explanations of the history of ancient Egypt, knew all the best spots to avoid crowds, took amazing pictures and was super helpful in negotiating best prices for souvenirs.

Absolutely amazing day. I booked last minute and put in the booking notes that I would like a guide that would be excited about history and would teach my son and I something. Didn’t disappoint. Was so grateful to have Eman - also refreshing as a mum and young son to have a female guide. This made me feel really at ease after a previous tour. Eman and Driver Hany were so professional. They were also very accommodating with allowing me a later start in the day as we were very tired from New Year the previous night.
We were picked up from the hotel in a lovely modern car (with seatbelts in it!) and went straight to Saqqara. On the way Eman starting talking us through Egyptian history the different dynasties, the history of the buildings at the Saqqara complex - the time was gone I a flash as we were talking the whole way. At the complex we took t some great photos and more about it was explained before we then went down into the tomb of King Unas which was beautiful.
After that we headed to the red pyramid and we climbed all the way down (for me and my son it was fine although he was very excited so rushed and the stifling air in there and smell got to him so he did need inhaler for his breathing). I LOVED the red pyramid - people were coming out sweating even in winter - but if you take each step slowly and don’t rush then you won’t break into a sweat and will be fine. It is a work out and felt it in my legs the next day! We then took photos at the bent pyramid.
After that we headed back towards Giza for some lunch- time was tight so Eman ordered ahead and the food was delicious and the restaurant clean with good toilets.
We then headed into the pyramids complex where we took lots of photos of the pyramids and leaned there are actually 9 pyramids - the tour does not include entry inside the actual pyramid but having been in the red pyramid this was fine. We had a camel ride around the plateau - my son loved camel riding on his camel ‘Mickey mouse’. Before we then headed down to the Sphinx area for photos and some more history.
We did also briefly visit a carpet weaving school and were shown how the carpets were made (note there are children in the carpet shop working). Eman had informed the guides not to be plushy as I had explained in my booking notes I did not want to be sold lots of stuff in tourist shops. We did also see how the papyrus paper was made in a different shop but again were not seeking to purchase. We gave the guide a small tip and she made my son a bookmark on papyrus with his name in hieroglyphics - this was a perfect souvenir and practical for him at school!
We learned so much, had a wonderful experience and feel so lucky that we had Eman as our guide and Hany as our driver. Absolutely recommend and a good price for mum and child. Thank you :)

From start to finish I had a fantastic time. Eman my tour guide was communicative from the get go she promptly informed me the day before of the times and our day. We visited the Great pyramid, sphinx, camel ride, lunch, papyrus /perfumes and my my, my heart was so filled with joy! More so because Eman was a great Photographer she is kind, informative, updated me on the history of all the monuments. The lunch was really good, I was overwhelmed by the appetisers and main course.
The trip was well organised although half day tour it was well planned and not rushed and I got to enjoy all the amazing monuments. Eman even somehow got me an extra free papyrus at the store a lifetime of souvenirs to remember.
When booking definitely request her as I’ll be referring all my family and friends.
Enjoy Egypt
