Private TukTuk guided Tour in Helsinki 2,5 hrs

What a great way to see Finland. We arrived by cruise to not the best weather but with warm clothes and a positive attitude. We were several teddy bears and our emotional support humans. We also had two foldable rollators we were able to fit in between the humans and the bears. Laura, our lovely driver, arrived right on time and got us into the TukTuk with its plastic windows in place to keep us dry and warm in case of expected rain. There were also blankets in case of need. Headsets were offered but, for us, not necessary as we could hear well enough without. We were asked if we had anything specific we wanted to see, or places we wanted to stop at, but we had no demands, only show us what we should see. We then spent a little over two hours (no clock-watching) [we booked a 2-hour tour directly] seeing the city on our first visit. While photographs are a little harder through the plastic windows we still got to see loads and take pictures, including a couple of stops where we could get out and take a closer look. For all Travel Teds this was a very bear-friendly tour with good space for sitting between the humans, though gaps under the weatherproof sides could present a fall-risk so make sure to hang on tight to your humans. We had a fabulous tour and we can thoroughly recommend HelsinkiTukTours to anyone. We were picked up at the cruise port which was just a short walk from the ship. Laura offered to drop us back at the shop or in the city which is not far away. We opted to return to the ship.

Zum den Geburtstagen gab’s in diesem Jahr nicht nur eine Reise nach Helsinki geschenkt, sondern auch noch eine Tuktukfahrt, um die Stadt kennenzulernen. Fast 2,5 Stunden waren wir am heutigen Tag unterwegs und obwohl das Wetter leider nicht auf unserer Seite war, wurden wir unterwegs weder nass, noch war es zu kalt. Das TukTuk war mit Folie und wir mit dicken Decken eingepackt. Unser Guide war super pünktlich am Hotel und begrüßte uns sehr freundlich. In den nächsten Stunden präsentierte er uns „seine“ Stadt. Er konnte viel über die alten und neuen Zeiten Helsinkis erzählen und begleitete uns zum Sibelius Denkmal, in die neue Bibliothek, das Konzerthaus und auf den alten Platz des Doms. Es hat Spaß gemacht ihm zuzuhören und seine Begeisterung für die eigene Stadt zu bemerken. Die Fahrt mit einem TukTuk ist etwas ganz Besonderes. Danke für den tollen und informativen Vormittag!

What a delightful way to get an overview of Helsinki on Day 1! Petra, our guide, was knowledgeable, humorous and accommodating to our particular interest in the 1952 Olympics. The tuktuk allowed us to go through smaller neighborhoods and pull into smaller parking spaces than a car or bus. Petra is an excellent driver, and a great photographer too. We are world travelers and we couldn’t imagine a better first day in any city. (And the tuktuk is a very fun vehicle.)
