I'm Simone Vergamini, "Best Sommelier of Tuscany 2023", 3rd place in the Best Sommelier of Italy 2018, 2021, 2022, and it will be a pleasure to accompany you to discover the best wineries. During the journeys I will tell you the history of the area and its traditions, the vines and the peculiarities of the area. It will be a pleasure to answer your questions and I will put all my knowledge at your service so that you will go home enriched. We will visit 2 wineries representing the denominations of the province of Lucca (Colline Lucchesi and Montecarlo DOC) and, after having touched the vineyards and visited the cellars, we will taste the wines produced in combination with local products. I love my job and I constantly travel to discover the best wineries: only small wineries with high quality wines, where you can feel at home, welcomed with passion and professionalism.

Our day was perfect. Simone arranged our day at two different wineries (buonamica and Valle Del Sole). The whole experience was great. Simone picked me and my wife up on time at our holiday cottage north of Luca. He was Friendly and imparted his knowledge of the local area and wine in perfect English. We tasted 6 wines at each vineyard with additional antipasta included. We had tours of each winery which was really informative. Watching the sunset while sampling the wines at all the Valley of Sun was very memorable. Thanks Simone for the experience, we would highly recommend.

Simone’s guided tour of two wineries in the Tuscan Hills was absolutely exceptional. His in-depth knowledge created a fun and educational experience. Simone was organized, punctual, and charismatic. We would not hesitate to book another tour with Simone. The Lucca Hills and Montecarlo tour with Simone was the highlight of our two-week trip to Northern Italy.
