We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vietnam.
Our guide, Mr. Le, was knowledgeable and friendly and really made our experience enjoyable.
The Marble Mountains were incredible - towering limestone and marble formations with hidden caves and temples nestled inside. Mr. Le took us on a hike through Water Mountain, exploring the different caves and temples along the way.
The views from the top were absolutely breathtaking, and it was such a unique experience to explore the mountains in this way.
Note that quite a bit of walking and climbing/descending stairs is required in the Marble Mountain tour, and comfortable shoes and some stamina are extremely helpful!
After the Marble Mountains, we headed to Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The town was charming, with historic architecture and lantern-lined streets on the river.
Mr. Le gave us a tour of the town, explaining the history and culture of Hoi An.
We visited several temples, pagodas, and original houses and historical knowledge (especially dates) was so helpful.
We asked Mr. Le for an unplanned stop at a local eatery to try the famous Hoi An dish, Cao Lầu. It was absolutely delicious and highly recommended!
We later ate an early dinner at a popular restaurant called Morning Glory, which was a lovely experience with delectable food. We were lucky to have arrived early (around 5:30 PM) because it quickly filled with large groups.
Note: If you wish to have a table with a view, we definitely recommend reservations.
We didn’t have them and hence didn’t have a view of the river and hubbub below, which would have added to the overall experience.
Because of limited time in the area, we visited on a Saturday, which was EXTREMELY crowded. If we could plan dates ahead of time, we would definitely recommend visiting on a weekday.
The Marble Mountains and Hoi An are both must-see destinations, and having a knowledgeable guide like Mr. Le to show you around really enhances the experience.
We can't wait to go back and explore more of this beautiful country!

We booked a private tour with Andy. He is very knowledgeable about the local area and sites. He explained the history of each place, was patient with one of our older guests and took photos for us. He even organised for us to tour through the silk factory. We had such a fun tour and evening. Thank you for the great memories Andy.
