Explore Italy's famed wine region, taste exceptional sparkling wines, and enjoy a delightful lunch This is a full-day outdoor experience to the “Colli Berici” Region: just 45 minutes driving from Verona city center, The Colli Berici area has almost a mythical origin. We will start our day by visiting an authentic award-winning winery, famous for its Prosecco extra dry and pas dosé, all organic. We will immerse ourselves in the nature of this original 16th century estate, walking among the vineyards. Their Prosecco is, above all, one of the few in Italy processed in purity, 100% prosecco. During our tasting, a traditional lunch based on delicious products, will be served under the historic porch. Few are aware that the Prosecco vine was already recognized in the Veneto region around 1750, with its origins in Monteberico on the Colli Berici, near Vicenza, rather than in the more renowned Valdobbiadene and Treviso provinces.     We'll learn and try the difference between Prosecco method and Classic method (the Champenoise method). The key factor lies in the use of a secondary fermentation process. Instead of moving the wine into the ageing step of the process, somebody using the classic method place their blended wine in bottles with a touch of yeast and some extra sugar. The bottle is sealed with a temporary plug & stored horizontally in a wine cellar. The wine then undergoes a second fermentation. Only this time, the temporary plug prevents the carbon dioxide the process creates from being released. Those gases stay in the wine, resulting in the creation of the bubbles that Champagne is so famous for. All this facts and much more will be explained and comment and experience during our wine trip.

Our family toured on 4 July with Virginia and I wanted to say a big thank you for a spectacular day. The wineries were beautiful, the hosts were so friendly, the food was fresh and tasty and the bubbles were amazing. Thank you for the addition of the castle visit, it rounded out a memorable day. We did a Prosecco wine tour with Virginia at the end of August 2021, and we really enjoyed our time with her. She picked us up at our hotel at 9:30am, she was on time and prompt, and then we were off to our first winery. Both of the wineries we went to, Fattori and La Pria, were great. We really enjoyed the tours with the owners and the insights provided by Virginia. The Proseccos and wines were delicious, and the food provided by the wineries was great too. We were able to go up the mountain to the owner’s house of one of the wineries for a great view. The 2nd winery had a barn with some animals that we got to see and pet. Seeing that I grew up on a farm, this was very exciting for me. We decided to order some wines from the 2 wineries and Virginia made the shipping process back to the states completely stress free. I highly recommend this company for your wine tour in Verona and hopefully will be back again soon for another tour. Thank you again Virginia!

Io e il mio ragazzo finalmente dopo molto tempo abbiamo potuto usufruire del regalo natalizio. Entrambi non amanti del vino ma curiosi di scoprire questo mondo. Michela la nostra guida è stata bravissima e il tour è stato bellissimo. Lei e i posti in cui abbiamo degustato i vini Veronesi ci hanno fatto scoprire con gioia un mondo sconosciuto. Sicuramente lo consigliamo
