While in the comparatively lusher and greener North Caicos, visit historic sites such as the Wade’s Green Plantation and the Kew Farm. Then take a short drive over the causeway to Middle Caicos caves, the Bahamas-Turks Island Chain and Mudjin Harbor with its majestic limestone cliffs. Witness spectacular views of pristine beaches. If you wish before you leave, shop for souvenirs at the Cultural market and purchase locally made crafts.

  • Wade's Green Plantation, Caribbean
    Wade’s green is the best preserved historical plantation ruin in the Turks and Caicos Islands and is a fascinating site to see when visiting North Caicos. You will have a local guide that will take you on a tour of the Plantation.

  • Flamingo Pond Overlook, Caribbean
    You’ll definitely won’t see the flamingo up close, but it’s worth a quick stop as the overlook doesn’t have any entrance fee and is found right the main Whitney highway on North Caicos.

    Beautiful water colors and stunning views as you climb the rock.

  • Conch Bar Caves, Conch Bar, Caribbean
    This is the only cave ( other than the nearby open gallery Indian cave) in the Turks and Caicos Island open to tourism. There’s been very little actual access development done to the cave, mainly a stone path leading into the system m. This cave is interesting, but does not offer any particularly unique or impressive features when compared to other caves found throughout the world.

Granted September is low season - but we signed up for this tour and excited to see two other islands. The tour was cancelled due to lack of people - which we can understand- but we weren’t notified until 10 minutes before our scheduled pickup time. We had reached out about a pickup question - and that’s when we were told. It seems like they would have a pretty clear sense at close of business the night before that there wasn’t enough people. It was disappointing (And yes we did refunded)

Very different day than our boat excursions, but loved our guide Charles and the whole family really enjoyed the day. We got picked up and ferried to North Caicos and then went to middle Caicos. As a group, we decided to skip the plantation as it had rained, was muddy and full of mosquitos, but got to tour the island communities and see some other cool spots. We all loved the cave and so many stunning / beautiful beaches that were basically empy! Glad we had sunscreen and bug spray! Wish we had beach shoes/ flip flops-- the cave had slippery parts, but otherwise flip flops would have been better for the beach (we all had sandy socks at the end of the day!) Would definitely recommend for something different to see and do!

So cool to see the other, under developed islands. Beautiful culture and wish I could've explored there for longer! Charles was a great guide, very informative.
