At the plant itself, be enchanted with the energy that comes out of the huge turbines in the dam's enlightenment. Before firing of lights, two presenters and a video shown on big screens tell the story of hydropower and translate into significant numbers. Suddenly, in the darkness, the concrete dam is illuminated by 747 floodlights and 112 light fixtures. A soundtrack created specially for this presentation, goes in perfect sync with the lighting of lights. The tourist follows the presentation of the central gazebo, from where you can see the operation of the plant during the day. To give you an idea of ​​the beauty and grandeur of this scenario, the energy consumed in the show would be enough to light a city with 15,000 inhabitants. The lighting is even more charming on full moon nights.

    This was a lot of fun and much more than I expected. Our guide Mauricio arrived at our hotel early to take us to the tour. From the visitors center at the dam, we boarded buses that took us to the viewing area. Live music with songs from Paraguay, Argentina, and Brasil started everything, then the illumination show began. Lot's of fun!!! Next time I will do a day visit to the dam to see the operation.

    Der Aufwand für die dann gebotene Show war sehr hoch. Die Informationen sind "nur" in portugiesisch. Es werden 3 Nummern aus den 3 Ländern dargeboten und ein eingespieltes Musikstück, wenn der Staudamm beleuchtet wird. Die Mücken sind eine Plage. Die Fahrt entlang des Damms ist sehr eindrucksvoll, aber ohne Infos. Ich denke ich hätte eine Tour untertags mehr genossen, auch wenn die Musik sehr schön war.
