Puerto Plata with its charms invites you to experience the 27 waterfalls of Damajagua (27 Charcos), discovered just a few years ago and submerged in the beautiful hills of the northern mountain range, this natural monument is part of the system of protected areas of the Dominican Republic. 27 Waterfalls is hidden up in a tropical canyon is a string of waterfalls that you can hike to and slide down, swim under, and jump off on your way back down. You'll head up with a tour guide who will help make sure you're jumping off of safe spots, might explain some of the history of these gorgeous falls, some of which have ancient legends stemming back from the Taino Indians who first discovered this gem, and from my experience will just make the adventure even more fun.

We do not have time slots. We leave the port 45 minutes after your ship docks. Please disembark as quickly as possible and be at the pick-up location no more than 45 minutes after your ship docks.

We can pick you up in: Amber Cove, Taino Bay, and within the Puerto Plata city, ours service included all hotel of the zone.

Amber Cove: the pick up will be outside of the port, after the principal gate, left side of the avenue. About 10 to 12 minutes walk.

Taino Bay: the pick up will be at the main entrance, at the right side of the taxi station, outside of the door. About 10 minutes walk.

The description didn’t match the actual adventure. The hike associated with the excursion was more of the highlight than the actual waterfalls as a matter of fact I didn’t see 7 but maybe .05 waterfalls. They count waterfalls as water running over a rock by the stream even so I couldn’t count 1 let alone 7 waterfalls. The only reason I gave a review is because there is a jump at the end (was fun) which I was also very surprised how short the actual water part was. I wish there were more of the water slides and jumping than hiking.

INSANE VALUE!!! If you’re hesitant on doing this excursion don’t think twice and do it. I’ve been fortunate to go on many cruises and excursions in my lifetime, upwards of around 40, and this was probably the best excursion we’ve ever done. From the beginning of a nice and cold bus and our tour guide Sammy being amazing and telling us about all the different landmarks that we passed by on the way to the falls. I will say if you aren’t in good shape or have any sort of injury, it’s going to be quite hard. You hike all the way up the mountain, which is steep at times. They do try to take frequent rest stops so that everyone can catch their breath, but once you’re up there it is all slides and jumps down these amazing waterfalls. We then walked back and had a delicious lunch with some local rum and beers. Finally, Sammy gets everyone back on the bus and we stop by a local store where you try out cigars with them being rolled right in front of you along with Mamajuana. 100/10 excursion which I would definitely do again

We had an amazing time on the excursion! My husband and I wore our chacos which were great and then we brought a waterproof phone case to take photos so we did not have to pay the $55 for the photo package. Sammy was our guide and was excellent. This is a MUST DO in the Dominican! We came in on our cruise from 7-3. We got picked up at 7:45 and were dropped back off at 1:30, so it does take most of the day. It is kid friendly, but you do jump off a 14-ft tower and go down waterfall slides so be aware. 10/10 experience though and the waterfalls were amaze!
