My husband and I spent two days with Javier exploring Puerto Rican culture, art, and topography. I suspect that there is no one on the island more passionate or knowledgable about it. We asked questions on so many topics that we got a real feel for Puerto Rico beyond the beaches and touristy areas. We highly recommend his tours.

Javi picked us up at our hotel near the convention center. He took us on a journey to remember. He drove us through the center of the island stopping and showing us the native flora, shared stories about the Taino period/people, and took us on a hike to view the petroglyphs. We stopped for coffee, lunch, and dessert during our time together. We really connected with Javi and this was one of our top experiences during our week visit to Puerto Rico.

Javier was a passionate intellectual with so much historical and botanical knowledge of the region. He showed us parts of Puerto Rico - the Taino petroglyphs in the mountains and the incredibly talented artists and Bomba dancers in Louisa - that we would never have seen/experienced on our own. He also provides a very different perspective than you might find on other tours. He was a joy to be with.
