San Juan Done Right! Experience Old San Juan in a delightful ode to its seat of honor within the history of the New World’s conquest. Receive insight into the life of the common city dwellers, as well as the military origins of the Spanish stronghold that is the City of Saint John the Baptist. Our licensed tour guide will impart on a walking tour along the Paseo de la Princesa (Princess Promenade) to enter the old city through the historic San Juan Gate. Believed standing since approximately 1540. Once inside see Plazuela La Rogativa. Then it’s on to visit the Basilica Manor Cathedral San Juan Bautista, full of devotion, architecture, and art. Our guide walks you through its history and mystique. Later learn about La Fortaleza, today it remains the official residence of Puerto Rico’s governor. Close by, take pictures of Cristo Chapel, Pigeon Park and La Casa Estrecha (the Narrow House), one of the skinniest houses in the world. Finish with a Piña Colada at Barrachina Restaurant.

Excellent experience. Tour is reflective of Puerto Rico’s history from inception to present. Narayan did an excellent job with sharing information, utilizing his vast knowledge as well as music choices and interpretations. He is also an excellent driver. Thanks so much for adding joy to our vacation.

We did the El Yunque National Forest tour with Lismar and were so pleased that she was our guide again for the San Juan Done Right Tour. In the comfort of the van we enjoyed Lismar's stories of life in Puerto Rico as we drove into Old San Juan. Lismar's knowledge of history is amazing. We did plenty of photo stops and we saw the highlights of New San Juan, Condado, Miramar, Puerta de Tierra, Santurce, the Art District ..... see much to see ! We adored the beautiful murals and witnessed the beauty of the old Fortresses and Plazas. We lit a candle in San Juan Cathedral . We finished this educational tour at Torrecilla Baja where had lunch in Carmin Restaurant and tried some more traditional Puerto Rican dishes. We ended up in a traffic jam on our way to the hotel but Lismar kept her spirits high and played some real Puerto Rican music in the van. Highly recommend this tour. Would book it directly with Seeing Puerto Rico Tours and Transportation to get the best price !!
