It’s not hallucinogenic and doesn’t always come with a worm - Mezcal: Tequila’s smoky, mysterious, cool uncle. Despite Mezcal’s growing popularity in the liquor and cocktail scene, much of the product never even makes it to US or Canada due to trade restrictions and small batch quantities. This is your opportunity to try something new and see why this artisanal drink is receiving so much attention. A total of four quality, small distillery mezcals will be sampled throughout this hour and a half tasting.

If you’re looking for a tequila or mezcal tasting in an intimate setting, then this is the one. We've lived in Vallarta since 2022, so we've done our share of tastings, but this one was different. It was laid back and informative. Corinna, the owner, translated everything and made us feel like we were friends at a backyard party, not patrons. We attended a special event mezcal tasting at Vallarta Tequila Tasting, and it was one of our favorites. We got to pair mezcal with raw and cooked oysters, which was an unexpectedly delightful combination for us. The event was well-organized, with great service in a cool and personal setting. We got to meet the mezcalero and learn about each kind we tasted. Additionally, he provided us with tips on how to distinguish a good mezcal from a bad one.
