Alberto led a great tour away from the tourist zone where we made 8 stops at small, family run establishments serving fresh, tasty food - pastries, chilaquiles, tacos, birria gorditas, chicharrones, carnitas and even ice cream. We also checked out a neighborhood tortilla factory that starts with corn kernels and produces soft, delicious tacos on the spot. He also introduced us to a bar where a premium Mexican lager was just US$1.75 each - a fraction of what you'd normally expect to pay as a tourist. A very fun and a good value.
