    Our tour starts from Piazza dell'Odegitria, inside Bari Vecchia, the city's historic centre. Your local expert will be waiting for you at the palms near the Cathedral's front door. Let's the tour begin!

  • Cattedrale di San Sabino, Bari, Italy
    On the way to the first stop on the tour, we pass the Cathedral of San Sabino. At the first stop, we will taste the typical Bari focaccia in one of the oldest bakeries in town. Focaccia barese is a delicious mixture of ground semolina, boiled potatoes, salt, yeast and water. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside! Before baking it is covered with tomatoes and olives.

  • Museo Civico Bari, Bari, Italy
    Walking through the alleys of the city centre, we pass the Civic Museum of Bari. After eating the famous 'sgagliozze' (quares of polenta, fried by housewives all year round) and fried 'popizze' (ound pancakes of leavened dough), we head for the third stop, where we will eat the famous 'panzerotto' (The classic one has a filling of mozzarella and tomato, but you can find many other original variations).

    Passing through Corso Vittorio Emanuele, we head for our fourth stop where we eat the typical octopus sandwich, grilled and seasoned octopus with a drizzle of oil and a splash of lemon accompanied by a cold beer.

Giuseppe ci ha accompagnati in questo tour all’insegna dei veri sapori di Bari Vecchia. Ci ha dato informazioni storiche e soprattutto sullo sviluppo della città negli ultimi anni. Abbiamo mangiato delle delizie tipiche in posti autentici. Abbiamo passato due e ore e mezza molto piacevoli. Consigliamo vivamente questo tour!

The street food tour with Alessia was amazing. We ate octopus sandwich which was the best octopus food I’ve ever tried. We also tried local focaccia, ice cream and other local food. I could not finish every dish because of the huge amount on the plate. ???? Alessia shared many recommendations where locals go to eat. It was the best food tour in my life. I highly recommend it.
