Pick up was easy and the driver was pleasant and punctual. We drove from the resort to the area where we met the buggy. In the drop area we were hustled and harassed by the locals/ store workers to buy items. I was going to purchase a t-shirt for my one year old daughter then when asked the price was told $25.00; however, by me refusing the sales person dropped the price to $5.00. I am all about principle so I didn't purchase the tshirt, but my husband purchase items. Matter of fact my husband purchase a bottle of the local rum of $65 but we later saw the same bottle of rum on another tour at a different location for $35.00.
The greenery along the tour was breath taking; however, during the course of the tour we were bombarded with kids chasing the buggy and begging for $1. Now $1 dont seem like a lot; however, we were chase by approximately 40 kids and adults through the duration of the path all begging for money. This was really annoying and distasteful.
At the first stop we looked on at local dancer (about 20 minutes) and was pretty much harassed to spend and then was given coffee and cocoa (about 15 minutes) to taste and was again harassed to purchase. After we walked to a beautiful cave and was told we only had 15 minutes there, but by minute 7 we were called out of the cave. This was annoying because we wasted so much time that we could have spent at the cave.
After the cave we drove some more to a local beach. Absolutely beautiful.... but we were harassed severely here. One of the locals walked up to my husband and place an iguana on his head and told me take a picture.. as soon as I took the pic he told me husband that he had to pay him $20.00. We offered to delete the picture...however my husband gave him a $5 tip.....
If you don't mind being hustled and harass then I say go for it.
