Private Transfer Punta Cana Airport to/from Excellence El Carmen

Quick, competent and well priced transportation to our resort. It was nice to be able to avoid the horde of drivers at the airport and much more reasonable than the service provided through the resort.

I reached out to the company and within a hour Julio had contacted me. He gave me all sort of important information I.e. to be careful of what they call pirates, companies that will say things like oh your driver could not make it but i am his replacement etc, along with what the sign would look like from the driver that was picking us up. The drivers name was Jose. He was a very pleasant young man and we arrived to the resort in good time. On the way home however was a different story none of which is the companies fault. Julio reached out to me the day before we had to leave to set up a pick up time. A driver arrived at the Excellence with a sign that had both my last name and my husbands. I thought nothing of it so we jumped in the van and off to the airport. When we got out he never mentioned any price but I just assumed that it was the agreed upon price with Julio. I gave him the money and into the airport we went. While standing in line I received a call from Julio. He asked me where I was I said at the airport why? He said the driver was at the Excellence waiting for us. I was horrified. I told him about the sign and as I was speaking I realized the only people that knew both my husbands and my last name was the resort. I said that to Julio and he said I was probably right. This upset me no end. Why would a 5 star resort give out our information to a company when they knew I already had booked one? This is a small business which I 100% support. Their prices are very good the van was impeccable. Whenever we return I will absolutely call on this company for transportation.

Not sure what else you can ask for in a car service ... We used Julio & Punta Cana Transfer for multiple trips during our stay in January 2023. There is no doubt we will be hitting them up every time we go back. The luxury transfer was reasonably priced and much cheaper than all the other recommendations I found on the TripAdvisor forums. Julio was an excellent communicator. Our driver, Wizer, was awesome: punctual and hilarious. Booking a standard trip through the website was easy and we handled a custom trip using text and email. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you Julio!
