The Taina Macao Cave is a natural spectacle that has a freshwater lagoon inside that is approximately the size of an Olympic swimming pool. Due to its easy entry, its spaciousness and its clear water, Taina Macao is one of the best options for those who do a dive for the first time.
The Taina Macao cave is located only 30 minutes from Bávaro and is easily accessible. With a depth of no more than 8 m, the cave has a length of about 50 meters and in it you can enjoy crystal clear waters, as well as impressive stalactites and stalagmites.
The cave was named after the aboriginal inhabitants, the Indians of Hispaniola: the Tainos. The Tainos settled in the Macao area decades ago where the cave is located and used it as their source of drinking water. 30 minutes

This was a great tour. It was was and we got to go a little. The guides were informative. We went to Macao beach, had a cacao and coffee tour, and then to the cave where there was a natural watering/ cenote.

Realmente fue algo muy divertido, los lugares muy bonitos los que se visitan al igual que la atención del personal, por mejorar, a los carros les falta un poco más de mantenimiento, por lo demás todo muy bueno.

The buggies need some maintenance and repairs. We ran out of gas and was stuck on the side of the rode for a while. One in our party had his brakes go out. The tour itself could have been a lot better and it was a long walk to the beach. I expected more than just a bumpy man made road going through someones property. The guys operating the buggies were very nice and helpful. The cave was very crowded and during these times of covid, too small of an area
