    Enjoy a full day on the outer Great Barrier Reef, including snorkelling at two stunning reef locations, optional introductory or certified scuba diving (dive packages only), plus a fresh buffet lunch. This package also includes a 10 minute scenic flight on board a luxury helicopter over North Hastings Reef.

  • Check-in is from 7.15am at Reef Fleet Terminal, 1 Spence Street, Cairns. Please make your way to the Down Under Cruise and Dive counter to check-in. Boat departs at 8.00am sharp.
  • Due to comfort, weight and balance of the aircraft, the weight limit for helicopters is 130kg. Please contact the supplier directly for further information.
  • All divers are required to complete a Medical Questionnaire. In a commitment to the safety of our guests, divers over 65 years must have a medical clearance with a physician the confirms they are Fit To Dive. Please be aware that certain medical conditions (e.g. asthma, heart disease, diabetes) and ANY prescription medications will require a letter or email from a doctor clearing you to dive. This clearance must state your full name, the doctor's name and practice and the clearance to dive for the specific medications/condition. Please review the operators Medical Questionnaire and Terms & Conditions prior to travel.
  • Evidence of dive qualification (certification card) is required from all divers wishing to participate in a certified dive.
  • Children aged and under 12 years (introductory) and 10 years (certified divers) are not permitted to participate in onboard diving activities as per Queensland Australian Law.
  • Children under the age of 18 must be in the immediate company of a parent or legal guardian.
  • Diving within 24 hours before your flight is not permitted.
  • Special dietary requirements must be confirmed at least 24 hours prior to travel directly with the tour operator. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options are available.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Specific notes from my trip: - It was very windy so my booked helicopter ride was cancelled. I was offered a reschedule/ or refund with no fuss. - Due to the windy conditions, the water was also choppy, therefore I only did the intro scuba dive at one site. Still had a lovely time snorkelling at the second site. Finally, if you are prone to motion sickness, accept that you will throw up on the boat and have a great time!

Excellent tour! There were 160 on our boat and it didn't really feel crowded. Very organized when getting mask, snorkel and stinger suit. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Even with lots of people you could still find room to snorkel without bumping into people. 1st stop was nearly 2.5 hours. Not as pretty as expected but ok. 2nd stop was much better with prettier coral and fish. Helicopter ride is a must as we flew over the Reef and saw so much color and beauty. Truly an awesome tour and experience!

My best birthday ever, spent the day with my two grown children, we experienced the Great Barrier Reef together.. beautiful and simply breath taking. Enjoyed snorkeling and the heli ride. The lunch was delicious and the crew were most delightful. The weather was beautiful????
