A great morning fishing with helpful and friendly staff. Fishing for all ability’s. A nice little intro at the start to teach you about the fish and how they are looked after. Highly recommend giving it a go you won’t be disappointed!

This activity was my husbands choice for our holiday. I wasn't that excited but I actually ended up having a great time and I caught the biggest fish I have ever caught.
We were given a quick little intro into how the farm works and then we caught our first smaller fish with an instructor to show us what to do.
They use barbless hooks so the fish can slip off easier but it is better for the fish and causes them less damage.
We then moved to the pond with the bigger fish. Even though you are at a Barra farm you still have to be patient, they probably get used to the look of the lures. Eventually we both caught one. The staff help you use the net and remove the hook for you and help you take a great photo.
There is a little cafe there selling fresh Barra and chips etc
Staff were all very friendly.
We drove from port Douglas in a hire car, it is a short drive but nice.
Something short and nice to do that doesn't take all day so you can still hang by the pool in the afternoon!
Took a good 5-10 minutes to reel my fish in, my arm was getting sore!
The kids there seemed to be enjoying themselves too.
Wear sunscreen and bring a hat as there is no shade
