Robert provides an incredible experience. He is passionate, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and patient. He gave excellent instructions and many constructive comments on each of our throwing attempts. Along with his instruction, he gave us info on the boomerang aboriginal history and culture.
If you are looking for a unique way to spend a morning in Brisbane, learn a new skill, learn some history and meet a wonderful Aussie, you need to do this.

My wife, her sister and I rang for a cab to pick us up from my nephew's home in Inala to our home in Highgate Hill (Brisbane) this evening (at 9pm). One Midle-East looking/sounding driver showed up. We were using a cab charge card so I asked him straight away if he would be ok with cab charge, which he said yes. However, he also told us to pay in advance because "in the evening, taxi drivers can ask for payment in advance", he said. He wanted us to pay $61.70 for the trip while I knew that the fare should only be around $50. I told him I would only pay the metered amount once we got to our destination, and not before. The driver then tried to tell me that his company's policy allowed him to take a deposit for trips at night like this, and he would pay me back any money in excess of the correct fare. I said if he wanted deposit then I wouldn't pay him in advance the full amount of $61.70 while I knew the fair should only be around $50. I also knew that he wouldn't, and couldn't, refund me any money to my cab charge at destination.(One of my brothers-in-law is a taxi driver, he confirmed later that taxi drivers can NOT refund back to a cab charge once an amount has been paid out from it.)
By that time, the cab had already gone around 200m away from where he picked us up. He insisted for payment in advance so I told him to take us back to where he picked us up, which he did.
I then rang Yellow cabs again for another cab. This time, 20 minutes later, an Asian looking/sounding driver showed up. He was courteous and ok with our cab charge. We arrived at destination at 22:04, the fare was $51.60 (as I expected).
It became very clear that the first driver, the Middle East looking/sounding guy, was trying to rip us off. I rang Yellow Cabs straight away after we got home to lodge a complaint. The customer service guy basically did his best to cover up for the attempt by the first driver to rip us off. He kept saying that there's nothing wrong with what that driver was doing, blah blah. I gave up on him after 10 minutes trying to explain to him what actually happened to me.
My conclusion is Yellow Cabs as the company doesn't care about their customers at all. Their customer services is rude and simply there to protect the interests of the company.
I will never use Yellow Cabs again and hope that people can see this review and stay away from them.
