The Society's extensive archival and photographic collections are open to anyone with a research interest in Cairns or Far North Queensland. Explore the history of tropical life at the Cairns Museum. The museum was very interesting and they have a helper walking around with any advice his name was John and very nice and also funny,John made it a pleasant experience. The Cairns history was excellent and very informative ????????????????????????

This was a fantastic way to showcase our city's history to visiting friends and learn so much fascinating history at the same time. It was grear to learn the stories behind so many familiar local names. Definitely a place locals should spend some time exploring. The volunteers are so friendly and I really appreciated being shown the interactive map display of photos from then and now.
