The Society's extensive archival and photographic collections are open to anyone with a research interest in Cairns or Far North Queensland. Explore the history of tropical life at the Cairns Museum. Family friendly, air-conditioned and free wi-fi. Admission includes all exhibitions. Conditions for Senior's Single Pass: Must hold a valid seniors card.

Upon arrival I was welcomed in a friendly manner, and was given all the information I needed. I was suggested to start on floor 2 and so I did. On this floor after time has passed by I was greeted by another member of staff (philipa?) she was lovely and shown me the interactive table which I was unsure how to use at first. Toilets were clean as well as the whole building, and the museum itself was very educational for someone from the UK not knowing a great deal about carins. Thank you Museum team!!

An absolutely amazing museum with so much insight into the history of Cairns. We would happily have spent more time there and it would be a great place to take kids too. Lovely views from the balcony too. Definitely worth a visit.

It was a very great activity that I did with my classmates. I enjoyed the creative distribution of the place and designed spaces. We had a pleasant tourguide. And also, the museum is open for people who want to volunteer, a great opportunity to involve more in Cairns culture.
