Join our Queenstown Rafting team on the iconic Shotover River for a whitewater rapid adventure. Our world class guides are second to none, always going the extra mile to make your trip one to remember forever. Start with an unforgettable coach trip through Skippers Canyon, famous for it's exciting cliff edges, enough to get your adrenaline pumping before we hit the water. Experience grade 3–5 whitewater rapids in one of the most scenic environments in the world. The rapids can change on a daily basis, but be assured our guides are expertly trained and have a keen sense of adventure. They will guide you through canyons, navigate the rapids and the famous 170m Oxenbridge tunnel to finish.

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Must be able to swim
  • Rafting while pregnant is prohibited
  • Rafting with any heart condition is prohibited
  • Minimum weight 40kg
  • Maximum weight 120kg
  • Minimum age is 13 years. Children aged between 13 and 15 years must be accompanied by a guardian
  • All travelers between the age of 16 and 17 years require a waiver to be signed by a guardian if they are unaccompanied
  • You must bring a swimsuit and towel
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.
  • This experience requires a minimum number of travelers. If it’s canceled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.

Fantastic tour for anyone looking for a nice half day option. The rapids were fun but nothing requiring prior skills. Staff were great guides - and the safety kayaks provide a nice backup should you happen to fall out (nobody did on my tour, but can happen). Gorgeous area so the scenery was also stunning. The drive in was full of beautiful scenery and then the river itself was amazing - plenty of relaxing sections between the rapids to soak it in. Really enjoyed it and love that they include the photos in the price - so I have some pictures to share with family and friends (the other adventure tour I did wanted 20% on top of the tour price for photos). If I’m back in Queenstown I’d be looking to go again.

Very well organised and great fun! The drive en route was so worth seeing, and the rafting exciting but the team made sure you were kept as safe as possible. A very professional set up and a great way to enjoy the area around Queenstown.
