This experience is a unique opportunity to experience a rural Costa Rican village while participating in a very interesting hands-on activity making Chocolate. Learn about the history of chocolate, try the Cacao fruit, roast the cacao beans, and then roll up your sleeves and get your hands in there to make your very own truffles choosing the toppings that you love most. This is a fun and interactive experience and great for friends, couples and families! The setting is a private family owned plot of land in the rainforest that overlooks the Naranjo River. You will be surrounded by the sounds of nature and can plunge into the cleansing waterfall after enjoying some chocolate! After chocolate making and waterfall splashing, enjoy a home cooked lunch in the home of our friend and neighbor. Learn to make homemade tortillas with Doña Luz! Our hope is that you will feel like you have experienced something truly off the beaten path that is educational, authentic, fun and delicious!!

I don’t often write reviews but I cannot say enough how awesome this experience was. Cara was very responsive knowledgeable and super welcoming. This was truly one of the best experiences we had during our entire trip ( and we did some pretty awesome other things) but Luna Vida truly was top notch. Would love to come back to Costa Rica just to do the other Luna Vida experiences.
