Andres (the owner) will meet you at your hotel, if your hotel is close to the market we will walk there, if not we will take my comfy SUV. Andres will first take you for a tour in the traditional Central Market and surroundings to hunt for fresh local products that you will use during your cooking class. Then you will head to the restaurant which is located in a beautiful Colonial house in the heart of Old Town Quito. During this tour, you will experience life as a local and will learn how to make 3 traditional dishes, which you can replicate back home. Get ready for a packed day filled with incredible sights, tastes, and smells. And at the end of it all, you will be able to enjoy the delicious meal you cooked. Highly recommended experience!

Very nice afternoon with our chef from Claroscucro Gastro Bar. His discriptions of the differtent ingredients as we walked through the market was both informative and tasty.
Once back at the restaurant, we were invited to cook what was in front of us. Nothing we cooked, however, was anything that was purchased from the market. A bit disappointing.
The 6 of us made each part of the simple dishes and we ate what was cooked.
Overall, a pleasent experience but maybe a bit over priced. One suggestion would be to hand out the recipes of the things we cooked so we could try them at home or follow them as we cooked.
