  • It is responsibility of every traveler that he/she is adequately insured against personal accidents and medical expenses during his/her trip to Ecuador, as well as having travel cancellation and baggage insurance to protect him/her.
  • Passengers must weight below 190 pounds due to the carrying capacity of the horses.
  • Our guides and drivers will follow vehicle cleaning and personal care protocols, with disinfectant products during the tour.
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Miriam was a great guide. She navigated the rough terrain up to Cotopaxi confidently. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and had lots of great information. I loved getting the tour from a local guide.

An expensive excursion but so unique that it is worth it! We truly loved the horseback ride and hospitality of the hacienda staff. They provided us with warm drinks, warm clothes, and a great ride to view Cotapaxi. Our drive to the lagoon and hike was refreshing with beautiful views. It’s always nice to get outdoors and enjoy nature. Our tour guide, Ivan was very pleasant, calm, informative, and a pleasure to be around. He was knowledgeable and took great care of us for the day.
