  • Cayambe, Cayambe, Ecuador
    Visit the main attractions of the province of Imbabura within approximately 10 hours. Crossing the Valley of Guayllabamba, we will arrive at the equator monument, site thru which the Equatorial Line passes. Also we visit a bizcocho factory to learn and taste how they prepare this delicious cake.

    Continue the journey to Otavalo where we will visit the largest indigenous market in South America, an ideal place for shopping.

  • Cascada de Peguche, Peguche, Ecuador
    Afterwards, we will head up to Peguche Waterfall, a beautiful ritual and spiritual site where the inhabitants, on the eve of Inti Raymi take a sacred bath under the waterfall.

    Visit Ñanda Mañachi house, this is a local family house where you can learn about the local music and this tradicional band.

First tour of the year! 2025 started off right in Otavalo, a charming destination, and our visit was made unforgettable thanks to our amazing tour guide, Irene. She went above and beyond, showing us not only the highlights like the Otavalo Market and stunning nearby landscapes but also several hidden gems that weren’t even part of the itinerary. Her knowledge of the area, warm personality, energy and genuine passion for sharing the culture made the experience truly special. If you’re heading to Otavalo, we can’t recommend Irene enough!

I was in Quito in 2019 and now, late 2024 and early 2025 I decided to bring the family to know Quito and its surroundings. As in 2019, 2025 I entrusted my tours to Quito Tour Bus. We made 3 trips with them: - City tour - Quilotoa - Otavalo. I want to highlight the importance of Irene, a guide on 2 tours.
