The road from Jodhpur to Udaipur is largely bumpy with holes and cracks and animals on it and much is under new construction from monsoon damage or single track so you have to go slowly and be careful. It takes longer than you think due to the poor road condition, with mountainous roads at Udaipur. Shankar is a good and safe driver, he has a very clean, well looked after car and provided us each with a bottle of water which was much appreciated. He was happy to stop for rests and at the Jain Temple on the way. The pickup from our hotel was on time and all of the service was good, reliable and I can recommend Shankar as a good safe friendly driver who speaks good English and has good knowledge of the local area.
