The Agra Fort (Red Fort) was originally occupied by Sikarwar Rajputs and was later captured by Lodi rulers of Delhi. In 1526, after the Lodi’s were defeated in the Battle of Panipat, the victor Emperor Babur took over the fort. After losing the fort briefly to the Suri rulers, it was eventually reclaimed by Akbar who made Agra his capital. Stop midday for a lunch in one of Agra's best restaurants. Budget India Tour introduced by my one of friend and i am very much satisfied after choosing this travel company for my tour. His service was very responsive and professional. My friend and I met Abdul while visiting an elephant sanctuary in Jaipur. He drove us there and then afterwards, showed us around the city on the way home. The next day we also hired him and his trusty Tuk tuk - He is very friendly, easy to talk to, and ended up being a great impromptu tour guide. He has some very cool connections and will take you to some honest places away from the tourist traps if you’re interested in textiles, jewelry, spices, etc... My friend and I were a little apprehensive at first going to some of these places being that it was our first time in India, but each place ended up being more amazing than the last. We also went to Agra the next day with Sumer, one of his drivers and he set us up with a tour guide, Aahil, at the Taj Mahal. Everything went perfectly, everyone was so friendly and we learned a ton of things that we wouldn’t have if we had gone alone. We will be revisiting India this next year, and we will definitely be giving Abdul a call again.

We are three friends travelling round India from the UK. We were in Jaipur for one full day and we met Abdul by the Palace. Really nice guy who didn't pressure us into going with him, just had a laugh with us and then asked if we did want to go around with him to a few sites. He took us to a few popular sites and was really knowledgeable about it all. We were heading to Agra the next day to the Taj Mahal and then onto Delhi all in the same day, we asked Abdul how we could do it and he offered to take us. He picked us up bang on time from our hostel and took us to Agra, sorted us a table at a nice restaurant and sorted a great guide who took us around the Taj while Abdul looked after our bags and valuables. He then took us to Delhi after that. Perfect service and a genuine guy! Thanks Abdul
