We have certainly walked this tour to Anse Major over 1000 times in the last 10 years and we are still fascinated by this beautiful hike to this day. In terms of outdoor activities on Mahé, this hike, which can also be described as a walk, is a highlight in the Seychelles. The guided tour to Anse Major is easy to do and can also be done in bad weather. You have a great view of various bays & the northwest of Mahé. The green nature in the jungle to be crossed is safe. Children aged 5 and over will also be thrilled, as there is so much to see and discover. We may even see a real flying fox up close and feed it. Anse Major is not accessible by car, you have to make a little effort, but you will be exceptionally rewarded. The way back can be done by Taxi boat at an optional cost. Incidentally, our company is licensed and insured, certified by the tourism authority and licensed by the government.

  • Anse Major Trail, Seychelles
    After being picked up from your hotel or the ferry, you will be taken by car to the starting point or the entrance to the Anse Major Trail. From there we will hike for about 1-1.5 hours. It is a narrow, safe hiking trail that goes up and down a bit. You don't need to be particularly fit, just good shoes, sports shoes or hiking boots. Please do not wear sandals or flip flops. We will stop at several points on the tour so that you have enough time to take great pictures. There are several hot spots for this. Once you arrive, you have the opportunity to explore the small bay, swim and snorkel. There is also a freshwater pool with water from the granite mountains of the nature reserve, which is certainly several million years old, very clean and cooling. We plan to stay for about 1-2 hours before we either hike back or take a cab boat back, if available and at a small extra charge. After the hike, we will be happy to take you back to the pick-up point or another location on Mahe.

Kevin picked us up from our hotel reception and was right on time! The 40 minute journey in the car was very relaxed and informative, Kevin spoke about the history of the Seychelles and the local area. He made sure that we had enough water for our walk. When we arrived, Kevin was happy to take lots of photos of us along the way and whilst he set a brisk pace he always waited for us or slowed down when needed. When we arrived on the beach, he watched our bags as we went for a swim and took even more photos for us! On the way back, he stopped off at the tea shop growing point so that we could see another part of the island. Would highly recommend!

Grosse arnaque! J'ai choisi ce guide en raison des avis. J'ai réservé et payé une randonnée pour anse Major . J'ai reçu un rappel de confirmation de rdv 2 jours avant la rando. Nous devions partir à 15h. Nous avons attendu le jour J et personne n'est venu. J'ai réussi à contacter Sheena qui était étonnée car étonnamment pas au courant alors que j'avais reçu un rappel... Quelques rapides excuses et elle nous dit qu'elle peut le lendemain à 8h pile. J'accepte et nous sommes prêts pour 8h le lendemain. Or, à 8h15 toujours personne. Je contacte Sheena qui me dit que son frère devrait être déjà là mais qu'elle n'arrive pas à le joindre. Donc,nous nous sommes encore préparées pour rien. Elle m'a proposé in remboursement. Cela fait un mois que j'attends. Elle lit mes messages, mais fait la morte. Je suis hyper déçue par ce manque de professionnalisme !!! Comment cette agence peut-elle être si bien notée alors que c'est visiblement du vol pur et simple!

This was an awesome hike! Sheena is a great guide! She is very knowledgeable and works at your pace! She even showed us a fruit bat up close! It was awesome! I recommend Sheena for all your excursions! You up won’t be sorry!
