    Wonderfully lush place! Close to the roots of Hekla is the source of the river Rangá. This is a wonderfully lush place in the middle of the desert. The river comes from underneath the lava and is ice cold and fresh. So bring your water bottles and fill them up with the best water you will find.

    Here we do a hike and bathe in a natural hot spring. Welcome to Landmannalaugar in Iceland. We will stop here for couple of hours. The guide will offer you a hike up to Brennisteinsalda or the Sulfur Wave. During the hike your are surrounded by nature so peculiar that you would hardly be surprised if you saw an elf running by. The colorful rhyolite mountains and some small hot springs scattered all over close to Brennisteinsalda with a mystical steam rising up from them. When returning to the huts, after about two hours of hiking, there still is enough time to take a bath in the natural pool.

The most incredible day with our tour guide Peter in the Icelandic Highlands. We had been in Iceland a week already exploring the south coast, but this tour was the highlight for me. Unbelievable mountain and volcanic scenery; a dip in a hot spring; and visits to beautiful hidden waterfalls. We struggled to find a Highlands tour that was running in October and almost abandoned the idea, but I’m so glad that we found this one. Peter was super knowledgeable and accommodating, and always made sure that the tour felt personalised. We never felt rushed when taking photos (and we took a lot!), and the semi-private nature of the tour, as well as the time of year, meant that we more or less had the Highlands to ourselves. An experience we’ll never forget and something that I would do again and again. Thank you Peter!

WOW Landmannalaugar is the pearl of the highlands! There is no other place like this. Excellent tour: great stops and trails, high quality and very confortable super jeep and wonderful guide. Guide was very informative about the area and the whole Iceland, safety mindful and adjusted the pace and breaks to the group. This day summarizes many different landscapes you can find the icelandic highlands, a great super jeep adventure in untouched areas with even exciting river crossings. It was our third time in Iceland and this was one of the best days ever. We will never forget it. Thank you Glacier and Waterfalls

I was told that Landmannalaugar was a place not to be missed. And Landmannalaugar not only lives to its fame but also exceded all the expectations i had. Positive points: the GUIDE, the breathtaking views from the top and from the lava field, the color contrast from the mountains and the streams and small waterfalls. The super jeep was amazingly confortable, modern and apropiated for the terrain. The guide took us to many interesting viewpoints, paced the walk with the right breaks, managed an exceptional group dynamic, was very attentive to the people with less fitness and added a lot of valuable information about the unique geology and history of the area. All in all we could have not asked for better. I highly recommend this tour. Thank you Pedro. Thank you Glaciers and Waterfalls
