Experience this exciting 12 hour tour of Iceland's South Coast. You will begin the tour with a 8 am hotel pickup from Reykjavik by your professional guide, then be driven along the southern coast of Iceland to adventure! Once you arrive, you will be able to hike on one of Iceland's many glaciers, and even visit two of the area's most famous waterfalls, Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, as well as stopping at the famous black sand beach in Reynisfjara. No glacier hiking experience is required on this tour, and food and drinks are not included.

Had an amazing day out on this tour. Got picked up about 8am from our hotel and met our guide Sighvatur who was a really experienced knowledgable guide (they all seem to be slash comedians). Got taken to the skogafoss waterfalls first which was amazing. It was freezing but quite a few photo shoots taking place with women in wedding dresses. No room for thermals with those on. Then went for our glacier hike. It is on my bucket list of see and walk on a glacier which was amazing and didn’t disappoint. We got kitted out in safety gear and crampons which were provided and it was like walking on a frozen sea. It wasn’t too challenging but probably not for those with poor mobility. Luckily I had sunglasses which were needed to stop grit and ash getting in your eyes but am still finding bits… it was a great experience and Sig showed his experience by passing on loads of info about the glacier and how much it has receded since he started 50 years ago!! We then went to the black sand beach which was a really wild place and we were warned not to get too close in case we got washed away. Someone lost a glove but that was it. Loads of good photos and a slice of cake. All in all a great day out. Got back about 6:30pm

South Iceland and Glacier hike booked through Grayline, undertaken by Troll. Excellent experience! Well organised, Maggi and Alex were phenomenal guides - enthusiastic and knowledgable! Would definitely recommend to anyone going to Iceland to do this with Troll! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

We hebben genoten van de tour. Natuurlijk van de twee grote watervallen, maar vooral ook van de gletsjerwandeling onder leiding van Ben. Hij voerde ons in twee en half uur langs blauwe gletsjerspleten, witte ijsvlaktes, ijspegels en kleine sneeuwpaadjes. Het was rustig weer en al met al een unieke ervaring!!
