From 1st April, pickup starts at 21:30 and can take up to 30 minutes or a little bit more sometimes, depending on conditions. We might need to ask you to go to closest bus stop for your pickup.

    After being picked up in the Reykjavik Capital Area, we will head out of the city away from any light pollution to the best location , chosen on the day, for visibility of the evening. We sometimes need to wait for the Northern lights to appear, and even change location over the evening. The guide is always in contact with our office and other locals for details on where the visibility is best each evening in case they need to change location. We always try to go where the crowds are not, but can not always guarantee that others looking for the Northern lights will not show up at the same spot.

  • The probability of seeing the Northern lights can vary and their visibility is dependent on cloud coverage and other weather factors. We always try our best to only go out if the same-day forecast predicts good visibility
  • Since forecasts are never a 100% guarantee and only a prediction, it can happen the Northern lights will not show. If so, you can always have a free re-run (pending availability) if you let us know and we'll then rebook you
  • If you join the tour, you will not get a refund. But you can join as many times as you want until you see them
  • We do our best to see the Northern Lights for you!
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

They shouldn't sell this tour unless the sky is completely clear and you are guaranteed to see the lights. This was such a waste of time. We spent 3 hours driving around looking at a black sky when there was a chance of seeing the lights. Also there were no vegan options for food and drink which was annoying.

The trip was just amazing. Being the end of the season we weren't sure what to expect. We knew that things were dependent on mother nature and whims of science, but Daniel was amazing. He expertly navigated us to the perfect spot, through rain showers and a geomagnetic storm that drove the northern lights south. But Daniel's knowledge gave us the experience of a lifetime.

Great tour with Pàlli! I was really apprehensive about booking as Reykjavik was really overcast but as we headed north, the clouds cleared to reveal a perfect night sky. He made sure we had a private spot, away from any other groups so we had lots of time to take pictures without fighting for space. For me, what set this tour provider above the rest was the extra touches - we felt really well looked after. It was a really cold night so the wool blankets were a great touch! The hot chocolate was delicious and the cinnamon buns are reason alone to return to Iceland!! We got some lovely pictures included, we did attend at the end of season so the lights weren’t particularly strong that night but they are still beautiful, a once in a lifetime experience. It was reassuring to know that if they didn’t make an appearance we could have rebooked at no extra cost for another night.
