  • Seljalandsfoss, Hella, Iceland
    Your first stop is Seljalandsfoss waterfall. This is one of Iceland most beautiful waterfalls where you can walk behind and see the rainbow on the other side on sunny days. The water in this waterfall runs from the glacier/volcano Eyjafjallajökull.

  • Skogafoss, Skogar, Iceland
    Next stop is the waterfall with hidden treasure underneath it. This is Skógafoss waterfall. You can walk all the way on top of it and see the water run down. The hiking trail to Fimmvörðuháls starts by this waterfall.

  • Dyrhólaey, 871 Vík, Iceland
    Cape Dyrhóley is a true magic. Being on top of it and seeing black sand beach on both sides of you, the mighty volcano Katla and breathing the fresh air from the North Atlantic oceand while seeing the strong waves brake at the cliffs. This island is also known for the big Puffin colony in the summer.

  • Reynisfjara Beach, Iceland
    Continue to the east you will visit the Black Sand Beach. Standing on this beach and listening to the power of the North Atlantic Ocean and seeing the troll out in the ocean that has turned into stone after helping a 3 mast ship to shore. The basaltic rocks in the mountain on the beach are surreal.

We asked owner Johann to organise a really special day and Reykjavik Outventure did not disappoint. A really wonderful trip with guide Bjartmar who was fantastic - professional, personable and passionate about his country. Bjartmar took us to quiet spots as well as the more famous sites, was really flexible and knowledgeable. The vehicle was a comfortable and capable 4x4 (a new Defender). A private tour is always going to be relatively expensive, but done as well as this, it is worth every krona.
